Breaking-in
At Watson Equine, we understand the importance of building both trust and discipline in your horse. Our goal is to ensure every horse develops confidence, understanding, and a strong foundation that will support them for life.
We recognise that no two horses are the same, which is why we tailor each program to suit the individual’s temperament, maturity, and needs. By taking the time it takes to reach each milestone safely, we create a calm, positive environment that sets horses up for long-term success.
Our Standard 6-Week Training Program includes full care agistment and feed, with daily handling and consistent one-on-one training. This program covers:

Groundwork & Basic Handling – Establishing respect, trust, and confidence on the ground.

Starting Under Saddle – Introducing ridden work with patience and care to create a safe, positive first experience.

Exposure Training – Gradually introducing new environments, objects, and scenarios to build resilience and adaptability.

General Riding – Developing balance, responsiveness, and a willing attitude under saddle.

Re-education
Watson Equine are here to support both you and your horse through every stage of training, whether that’s bringing your horse back into work after a well-earned spell, or addressing specific behavioural concerns that may be holding you back. Our focus is on creating a safe, calm, and positive environment where horses can learn, adapt, and thrive, while giving owners peace of mind and confidence in the process.

Riding Education
Our one-on-one riding guidance is designed to help riders of all abilities begin or improve their skills and confidence. Are you looking for someone to guide you through the basic aids of riding without feeling pressured? Or just needing someone to be there to help you prepare and exercise your horse, before you jump back in the saddle yourself? We are here and ready to assist you with your riding education.
Whether you have minimal experience being around horses and are looking to learn the basics, or have simply lost a little confidence while getting back into the routine of riding, we are here to guide you through at your own pace.
